Opryland Country Christmas Events

From the third week of November through Christmas week, Gaylord Opryland Hotel is host to "A Country Christmas" which includes viewing their spectacular holiday lights, Christmas Dinner Party,  Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, ICE! to taking a General Jackson Holiday Cruise and browsing through the Treasures for the Holidays Craft Show.... It is four weeks of non-stop holiday fun!

Opryland Christmas Lights

Nearly 2 million Christmas Lights and Nativities draw visitors from near and far to see this annual spectacular site of Nashville Christmas Lights. Viewing the this magnificent display is an annual tradition among locals and another favorite add on is taking a Horse-drawn Carriage Ride (Magnolia Portico) to enjoy the decorations and lights even more.

The ICE! experience will give guests and visitors alike an opportunity to visit a whimsical winter wonderland of interactive environments; larger-than-life, three-dimensional ice monuments; and colorful ice sculptures - many of which are more than 25 feet in length.

Radio City Christmas Spectacular

Radio City Christmas Spectacular featuring the Radio City Rockettes is a Nashville Tradition. If you are not yet in the Christmas Spirit, this live production will get you humming Christmas Carols for weeks after.

Christmas on the General Jackson

Take a holiday cruise (day or night) down the Cumberland River on the General Jackson Riverboat and enjoy plenty of live holiday music, tunes & entertainment along with a special feast. Currently, there are two holiday cruises, Christmas on the Cumberland (evening) and Steve Hall, Shotgun Red & The Shotgun Red Band (daytime) to choose from.

This year you will be able find Santa in the Delta Atrium right by the by 48-foot-tall Christmas tree. Times will vary a bit but normally Santa will be there daily from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Opryland's Nativity Displays

Explore the four Nativities displayed at Opryland which features four different renditions of the biblical story of the birth of Christ.
The four Navitiy Scenes are the ICE! Nativity (Ice Exhibit), the Living Nativity (Rockettes Show), Delta Garden Nativity (Delta Atrium), and the Outdoor Nativity situated on the hotels front lawn.

Opryland Hall of Christmas Trees

Opryland's Hall of Trees is a display of specially decorated trees that benefit various charities. The Hall of Christmas Trees exhibit and is normally open to the public until the week before Christmas when all of the displays are auctioned off. Bids can normally be placed in person or online.

Delta River Christmas Cruise

A Country Christmas Delta River Cruises take visitors on a scenic indoor river cruise on a Mississippi-style river flatboat. Delight in the spectacular lights and sights of Gaylord Opryland Resort's Delta Atrium Christmas decorations.

Opryland's Gingerbread-Making Classes are an annual part of the Country Christmas Celebration and guests have a choice of decorating either a gingerbread cookie family or a gingerbread house.

Tour the Atriums & Gardens of the Opryland Hotel

Of course a Tour of the Atriums & Gardens of Opryland is a must see during any trip to the Opryland Hotel. Their Atriums encompasses nine lush acres of indoor gardens and are separated into three areas known as the Cascades, the Delta, and the Garden Conservatory.
During the holiday season you can also enjoy the Brightest Star Fountain Show (Delta)a glorious water show synchronized to your favorite holiday tunes; Rockabilly Christmas (Delta) that includes a live band, dancing girls, and more, Swing by Santa's E-mail (Garden Conservatory) and children can email Santa and even receive a personal e-mail to take home as a souvenir.
