Most will say the smooth taste of Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey comes from the local iron free waters and hard sugar maple charcoal filtering but once you've visited Lynchburg you will know that there's another very special ingredient in every bottle of this smooth southern whiskey - it's the magical and ever so caring touch of the residents of Lynchburg.

The town of Lynchburg and more importantly, it's residents are so intertwined with Jack Daniel's Distillery that it's common place for families to have a history of several generations of ancestors to have had worked at the distillery - it's become a family tradition in this part of Tennessee.
But more amazing is the pride and attachment that one feels when you talk and look into the eyes of these warm-hearted folks as they talk about their history with the distillery - it will warm you just as much as the smooth taste of Jack Daniels Whiskey does going down on a cold winter night.
The Jack Daniels Distillery is the oldest registered distillery in the United States but ironically, Moore County is a still a dry county which means that no alcoholic beverages are allowed to be sold so you won't find any bars in town selling alcoholic drinks and this includes the hometown favorite.
But there's also no doubt in my mind that there just may be a bottle of Jack Daniels Whiskey in just about every home in town because from what I've heard, every employee of the Jack Daniel's Distillery gets a free bottle of Jack every month. So, visitors to Lynchburg can find and purchase plenty of great goodies, from candy to cakes, being made with hints of Jack Daniels Whiskey.
If you want to get your hands on a bottle Jack Daniels Whiskey when visiting Lynchburg, the distillery tours currently do allow visitors (only) to purchase bottles of whiskey on site to take home with them.
Yep, I think it's safe to say that Jack Daniels Whiskey & the folks of Lynchburg have successfully merged together as one throughout history to bottle up one really unique experience & product that depicts the true essence of southern style & charm.
