Miley Cyrus was born in Nashville on November 23, 1992 as Destiny Hope Cyrus to parents Billy Ray & Leticia (Tish) Cyrus. She was given the nickname Smiley by her dad which was later shortened to Miley and later legally changed to Miley Ray Cyrus in 2008.
She is best known as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel Original Series, Hannah Montana which debuted in 2006 and made Miley an overnight nationwide success.
Miley spent her early years growing up on her parents 500 acre farm located just outside of Nashville in Williamson County and she attended Heritage Middle School located in Thompson Station. Miley's siblings include brothers; Christopher Cody, Trace, and Braison and sisters; Brandi and Noah.
While the Cyrus farm is still owned and maintained by the Cyrus family, they now normally reside in Los Angeles.
