Now! Tonight the night we've all been waiting for! The Grand Finale of the 5th season of Nashville Star.
Who will follow in the footstep of the previous Nashville Star winners that include:
Season 1 - Buddy Jewell
Season 2 - Brad Cotter
Season 3 - Erika Jo
Season 4- Chris Young
The excitement of tonights show was, as one can imagine at it's highest peak, as everyone waited to see who would be crowned with the covenanted Music Row Record Deal with the Warner, along with an appearance on the Grand Ole’ Opry , and a 2007 Chevy Silverado truck.
But alas this is Nashville and the excitement tonight would happen without me in the audience as I just had to pass over this years Nashville Star Finale to cruise down to check out some of the CRS events which included an an impromptu and intimate performance by Keith Urban at City Hall[.
The good news is we did have someone in the audience giving us a behind the scenes report.
Highlights of the show:
- Not wasting any show time, David St. Romain was sent home, landing this Cajun in 3rd place.
- Jewel gave a stellar performance of "Foolish Games."
- Randy Owen, one of the classiest country star today, performed Dixieland Delight with the current season's alumni.
The show was finally down to crowning one of the two Hacker siblings as the next Nashville Star. There was no doubt after hearing their duet, that either one of the supporting siblings, if winning, would want to share the Nashville Star title and fame with the other.
The audience has spoken and Angela Hacker was crowned as this year's Nashville Star...but there's no doubt in our mind that brother Zach will be close by.
Inside Nashville Star:
Scene in the audience this week was just about every Tootsies Artists, including former Nashville Star Alumni Melanie Torres and Jared Ashley. Also spotted was the handsome and talented Casey Rivers.

Angela - If I Can't Make You Love Me
Zach - If It Wasn't For the Whiskey

Zach & Angela Hacker - Hard to Handle
Angela Hacker - Sweet Home Alabama (w/Randy Owen and Zach)
Special Note to our readers:
Thanks to all who have followed our track through the last five years of covering Nashville Star. We are eternally thankful to have discovered tons of great musicians who in their own right are Nashville Stars.
As this season comes to an end so will our in-depth coverage of future Nashville Star Series.
We would like to send out our thanks and gratitude to those true Musicians who are in love with the song and give us all great pleasure by sharing their music so freely with the world from the big stages to the smallest of cafe's. It gives the very real truth and meaning to the words "It's all about the music."
