Nashville Star - Hats off to the Muscle Shoals Musicians

Season 5 - Week Seven - Nashville Star

Week seven kicked off with a performance by the 2006 winner of Nashville Star, Chris Young. Chris performed his latest single "Your Gonna Love Me" with his current band.

This is hometown week where the remaining audiences return and give a performance to their hometown crowds.

The first contestant of the evening was Zach Hacker, who gave a chilling rendition of the Kenny Rogers hit "Lady" and we thought that he just couldn't get any better after the last two weeks performances...we stand corrected and someone needs to sign this Alabama boy to a label- now before he gets away. We will also mention that he was given a rarely seen standing ovation by the audience.

Next up was Joshua Stevens performing “Please Remember Me" which was very ironic as he would be the contestant sent home later tonight.

David St Romain was the third contestant of the evening and he performed a mediocre version of “Live Like You Were Dyin”. David seemed to be having some uncharacteristic vocal issues tonight and we think that he may have just knocked himself out of the competition tonight. Although he might chance if the Hacker siblings votes get split.

Angela Hacker was the final contestant to perform for the evening and even she missed a couple of notes in her performance of "Strawberry Wine" but alas her vocals were more kind to her than David's were, so we think she will be returning in the grand finale.

Inside Nashville Star:
Tonight's show was the first this year to be sold out this was mostly due to the massive amount of Chris Young Fans who dominated the Acuff Theatre.
In the sea of Youngin Fans, we did happen to spot Billy Block and his wife along with one of my favorite songwriters, Billy Yates.

Set List:
Zach Hacker - Lady
Joshua Stevens - Please Remember Me
David St. Romain - Live Like You Were Dyin
Angela Hacker- Strawberry Wine

Till Next week,
Jan
