One of the biggest questions that I get every year is "When are the Nashville Star Auditions?" Please note that while I am no longer covering the reality series, I will continue to update the audition information as I receive it and more importantly as a courtesy to all future Nashville Star Hopefuls.

2008 Winner Melissa Lawson (Season Six)

Nashville Star kicked off in early June 2008 on NBC as a part of their All-American Summer and appears to have taken somewhat of a new direction with their new network home. New judges include Jeffrey Steele, John Rich and Jewel and their new host is Billy Ray Cyrus.

2007 Winner Angela Hacker (Season Five)

As Nashville Star's second female and also the series first sibling competition, Angela Hacker brought plenty of Alabama soul to the Fifth Season...she also brought along another great musician with her, her brother Zach.

2006 Winner Chris Young (Season Four)

This season was done before the end of the first show when Chris Young took the stage and showed the country what a real musician is.

2005 Winner Erika Jo (Season Three)

The third season brought the series first female winner, Erika Jo and it also brought a rockier side to it with the new Judge, Bret Michaels.

2004 Winner Brad Cotter (Season Two)

Brad Cotter tore up a keyboard to win the second season of Nashville Star...or was that Matt tearing up a washboard ?

2003 Winner Buddy Jewell (Season One)

Buddy Jewell took the show by storm and was easily the first ever Nashville Star winner ever crowned with his signature song "Help Pour out the Rain"

While it's been a fun and sometimes wild ride to cover Nashville Star (since it's inception) and to see many of my friends and acquaintances enter, place, and even win this competition -it's time for me to move on.
Special thanks goes out the great Nashville Star fans that I've had the pleasure to meet over the years, thanks for all of your tips, help, and friendship- Y'all have been great!
Best of luck to all future contestants and winners,
Jan Duke
