I enjoy looking at the old pics of Nashville. I was born here in 1944 and I lived next to Shelby Park all my life until I moved to Smyrna 7 years ago.
Are there any published books of old pictures or is there any way to obtain copies of them?
Do you have anything of the old windmill in Shelby Park? I
have one in a box around here that I need to find.
Anyway, if you email me one or put it on the web site, it would be nice.
Maybe it would be nice if you could change the pictures occasionally.
I'm sorry to say that I don't have a picture of the Shelby Park Windmill, yet.
The pictures we use are free use pictures and/or are graciously provided from other local historical groups, I do wish that we had a larger variety to share with our viewers too..
You can get copies of old pictures from the Nashville Archives, The Tennessee State Library among other local historical organizations. Here is a link on my site that lists several organizations, groups, etc that may be of some help to you.
