Question: Why do you never say that Nashville was also known as the Athens of the South?

Why do you never say that Nashville was also known as the Athens of the South ? (because of the Parthenon) I have made several trips to Nashville and I always make a point to visit Centennial Park.

Answer: Hi,
Honestly, Nashville has had several nicknames over the years and while I have made reference to Athens of the South in several articles, I normally do just go by it's current nickname Music City as do many others outside of the historical field. Maybe one day Nashville will garner a new nickname worthy of it.
