Guide Review - Les Kerr - New Orleans Set

When you think of Nashville most folks think of Country Music and while the country music genre is definably the most popular genre in town, Nashville is also filled with a ton of other gifted artists like Les Kerr.

Originally from the New Orleans area, this Nashville transplant has been bringing decades of some great Cajun Blues Sound to the ears of locals. In his latest CD entitled New Orleans Set, you will find that it tells plenty of tales about this southern city, it's people, and lifestyles. From Mardi Graw, Red Beans & Rice, and Shrimp Gumbo in the first track; Smile Upon your Soul to the sad tale of the destruction of New Orleans in our favorite track "Pray for New Orleans."

Les is a superb musician and songwriter who can be seen performing on occasion at the infamous Bluebird Cafe and on a regular basis at any number of other songwriter hotspots in Nashville. Les is one of the many that we think make Nashville, not only a better place but also help it live up to it's name "Music City U.S.A.

If you read his extensive list of credentials, you will see that he is a pretty good writer and author as well. In his books, you will find that Les has plenty of room in his heart for his adopted state, Tennessee too. You can learn more about Les, his music, and his other creative works at leskerr.com
