Guide Review - CD Review of Doug Stone - My Turn
Doug Stone has been in the music industry for right around twenty years and throughout his career we have seen all of Doug's ups and downs that even included an airplane crash up in Robertson County a few years back and so we think his newest CD is very rightfully entitled My Turn.A CD like My Turn is something that an artist should do at least once in a lifetime, an opportunity to make and release their own style of music, in their own way, and with their own choice of musicians and songwriters. This is exactly what Doug has done, from the lyrics of Kim Williams to the drums of Owen Hale, the soul and style of Doug's sound comes thru loud and clear.
Our Favorites include:
- "Don't tell Mama"
Offers heart-wrenching lyrics like "Don't tell mama I met the Lord with whiskey on my breath" makes this song our favorite song on the CD. - "Nice Problem"
Another Kim Williams song comes in second as well with lyrics that everyone can relate to , learn from, and truly appreciate.
