An Evening at 3rd & Lindsley with Jason Fitz

An Evening at 3rd & Lindsley with Jason Fitz

From Joyce Clark, for About.com

An enthusiast audience enjoyed Jason Fitz and his band at 3rd and Lindsley, July 17th. He did a 9 song set that included songs that had been written and co written by him. Jason describes his music as a combination of jazz, rock, country, pop, blues along with everything in between and still evolving. The audience was well entertained with this distinctive style of music.

During the show, Jason said the most ask questions are, " When will there be a cd?" (The answer, he is working on one now) and “How long have you been together?” (The answer, a little over a year.) When there is a cd out, this reporter would hope that some of the songs I heard during the show will be on it.

Jason is an accomplished singer, song writer, fiddle player and to top it off he plays the piano. A very multi-talented young artist . He started playing the violin at 4 years old, was trained in classical music, played Carnegie Hall when he was 10, from there to Juilliard pre college. Jason found his nitch in Country Music after coming to Nashville. He was a member of the group, Shiloh before going out on his own as a solo.

I was truly impressed with this young artist and his music and will be looking forward to enjoying more shows. You can find out more about Jason at www.jasonfitz.com.
