Lowdown on the Locash Cowboys

If you have never heard of Locash Cowboys, heard their music, or seen one of their shows you are truly missing out. Locash Cowboys are newly signed to Montage, an independent label. The duo of Chris & Preston have a long career ahead of them and put on one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. They are not only great musicians they are both very down to earth and funny.

Nora: Out of all of the songs you have written what has been your favorite?
Chris: Good Song and probably Let's Make Love Right Now.
Preston: Let's Make Love Right Now and that had been building up for a long time. I wanted to get a ballad out that made sense to us. It had to have a Boys II Men ingredient, and the Baby Face feel had to be there yet it needed to be country. It was our dream to have a ballad like Marvin Gaye Let's Make Love Right Now or I'll Make Love To You by Boys II Men.

Nora: What do you like to do for fun when you're not performing?
Chris: Watch movies. I'm a movie buff. I have so many DVD's and I just bought the Blue Ray video player. Actually Preston and me want to be in movies. We like to see other artists sometimes. We don't like clubs because we play in clubs. We're the Peyton Manning's, we're the kind of guys that after we're done with the show we'll party a little bit but then we're like okay what are we doing next?
Preston: When we're not performing we're dreaming. Chris could go on a 10-day vacation to the Bahamas and I would know the whole time he's thinking what's next. It consumes us and that's how I know we're not going anywhere.

Note: For those of you who are a member of the Locash lounge I know you have wondered the meaning behind Chris & Preston's screen names. Well here you go the meaning behind the names.
-Preston's name is "Got Shot" and well it's pretty self- explanatory Preston got shot once. He asked me if I wanted to touch where he got shot and when I went to touch just behind his ear he turned his head quickly and just about bit my hand.
-Chris's name "Wednesday" has a pretty funny story. As you know Wednesday is also referred to as hump day. One-day Preston's 150 lb. golden retriever decided that Chris was going to be his boyfriend. You have to listen to them tell the story because it is even funnier when they tell it.
