I wouldn’t be surprised if the 7th cut, “The Weight of Love”, is released as a single. It is a beautiful song. Also, another single to look for is the 11th cut, “When This Woman Loves a Man.” Leann co-wrote this magnificent song with hubby Dean and songwriter Troy Verges. Yes, the very talented singer shows off her writing talents on this cd. She co-wrote three of the songs, “You Take Me Home”, “I Got It Bad” and “When This Woman Loves a Man.” The 10th cut was co-written by Kristyn Osborn, of the hit group SheDaisy.
It is hard to listen to the songs individually and try to choose in your mind which songs will be released as singles. There are so many good ones, but we all know the record companies usually on release 3-4 singles off an album. By the time these songs run their course on the radio, the artist is about ready to release a new cd. But, I did try to choose a few songs that I thought would make good singles. Other than the 2 mentioned above, the last song on the track, “Some People,” would be the 3rd one.
The 4th cut on the cd is probably my favorite. It was written by Melissa Pierce and Bobby Pinson and was a great song for LeAnn to show off her awesome vocal ability. LeAnn obviously made a very smart move by teaming up with producer Dann Huff for this project. She shines from the beginning to the end.
