In an overview of the musician credits, the selected are more associated with acoustic projects. Barry Bales has performed with Alison Krauss & Union Station since 1990 and has appeared on albums by Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Patty Loveless among others. Jordan recalls, "Barry was just one of those people that I was like, 'wouldn't it be wonderful to get him on this?' We made some phone calls and found out that he would do it and we were just so blessed to have him and all of the other players on the record." She elaborated on other musicians on the project, "David Cleveland's a guitar player and he'd played on a lot of stuff for me before; just demos and stuff when I do songwriting. My husband produces a lot so he's used him a lot, too. So we called him. It all kind of started with him. He kind of laid the groundwork for the whole way that the record would go so I just love him and thank him for doing that. Wanda Vick [formerly and founding member of all-girl group Wild Rose, Prime Time Country TV show; studio recordings for Bill Gaither, Uncle Kracker, Deryl Dodd, among others] is just amazing and we've used her before on a few things. Through the grapevine you hear about these amazing musicians and just feel super-blessed to have all of them. Larry Franklin [former member of Asleep At The Wheel; has recorded for Martina McBride, Alan Jackson, Chely Wright, among others] and then, Ken Lewis played percussion. We found out about all of these people just through friends, people who knew [them]. And then we got Tammy Rogers [on two songs - recording credits include Randy Scruggs, Jim Lauderdale, Patty Loveless among others]. We did the whirlwind thing in where we were just bringing people in and having people come out."

"Angels Cry" is the targeted first single from the project and a video has already been completed for the song. Jordan recalled the first time she learned of the song. "Regie Hamm, [an artist signed at Universal South] brought the song to me with the chorus done and verse. He just couldn't seem to finish it. But when I first heard that song, I just knew. I know of so many women who had been through that situation. I was in a similar situation but it wasn't because of the guy being a total jerk and leaving me pregnant. It was just a single Mom so in that way I definitely relate to the girl in the video; just being there with the baby. I love that song because it shows the strength of the girl and how she moves on and becomes a single Mom. She's willing and ready to do it and happy that she did it."
