GAC will premiere its Songs Of The Year documentary on November 21st at 8pm and the two-hour Songs Of The Year concert will premier January 27th at 9pm.
The red carpet (photos) was lined with artists and celebrities set to perform and those that were there to just take in this great concert. Those spotted on the red carpet included Aaron Tippin, Josh Turner, Heartland, Lonestar, Povertyneck Hillbillies, Blake Shelton, Cody McCarver, Holly Williams, Jack Ingram, Eric Church, Jett Williams, Jo Dee Messina, and Billy Currington to name a few. Jason Thompson from General Hospital, Renee Goldsberry from One Life To Live and Alexa Havins from All My Children were also seen on the red carpet.
Fans were lined up on both ends of the red carpet with the hopes of catching a glimpse, a quick photo or an autograph from their favorite artists and TV stars.
Trace Adkins and James Denton from Desperate Housewives co-hosted the concert. With co-hosts like you can't go wrong. One of a kind performances were given by Michael McDonald and Heart who teamed up with country stars to perform songs from the CD. Hank Williams Jr., Merle Haggard, The Wreckers, Jason Aldean, Jypsi, Trisha Yearwood, Josh Gracin, Lorrie Morgan, Jamie O'Neal and Deana Carter also gave performances. This is one great CD.
