Rockin In The New Year New Year's Eve in Nashville offers something for everyone. Some people walk the streets of downtown bar hopping, others attended the annual Brooks n Dunn New Year's Eve show at the GEC and hundreds were at The Wildhorse Saloon, along with us, to ring in the New Year.

Doors to the Wildhorse opened at 6:00 on New Year's Eve and ticket holders were provided with an all you can eat buffet. The buffet featured small sandwiches, pasta, potato salad, a house salad, vegetables and the cutest little individual pies you have ever seen. The food was hearty and the drinks were flowing as they always do on New Year's Eve. Guests were also treated to another buffet at midnight of sausage and biscuits.

About 7:30 DeepSouth took the stage. The individual members of DeepSouth have also been members of other bands including Wet Willie, Lynard Skynard, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Survivor and the Marshall Tucker Band. With musical backgrounds like that you can't go wrong. The band played a wide variety of songs that included songs from both Lynard Skynard and Wet Willie. When you hear them, you can't help but nod your head and hum along.

After DeepSouth was done the newly signed group Locash Cowboys took over the stage and the crowd. This new group puts on one of the most high-energy shows you have ever seen. They thrill the ladies to with their dance moves. Locash's music is not just strictly country; they also incorporate music from the 80's in their show. The brother duo of Preston and Chris are a breath of fresh air to the music scene. Locash entertained the crowd with songs such as Purple Rain and Baby Got Back to name a few of the 80's songs they incorporate. They also performed some of their own songs including Boom Boom, Give Me Something To Look At and, HotLittleCuttiePieSexyThang. Be sure to check back later to read my sit down interview with Preston and Chris. After their set Chris and Preston took time to sign autographs and pose for photos with their fans.

Steve Holy followed the Locash Cowboys performance. Steve had the ladies melting as he sang his hits Good Morning Beautiful and Blue Moon. He also performed his latest number 1 single Brand New Girlfriend and was going to perform his new single Come On Rain but was informed there wasn't enough time. Steve did borrow the cowboy hat of audience member Chris Mayor to wear while he sang Don't Shoot The Squirrel. Steve was also kind enough to autograph the towel he used on stage to wipe his sweat for the lucky girl who managed to get her hands on the towel. After midnight Steve walked around the Wildhorse talking with fans, signing autographs and posing for pictures.

The Devonshires were the final band of the evening. The band is made-up of an all-star cast of brothers/musicians, each a legend in their own right. The 5-man group wears British costumes and performs songs from the time frame of 1964 to 1974. The Devonshires have performed with numerous rock legends such as The Doobie Brothers, The Edgar Winter Group, Joe Cocker, Eddie Money, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Badfinger, Jefferson Airplane, and The Temptations. They are a very talented group but they didn't have many people sticking around after midnight to give them a listen.

So there it is a run down of what patrons got for their either $75 general admission or $85 VIP section admission for New Year's Eve at the Wildhorse. Happy New Year to each and every one of you!!
