Friday's Greased Lightning Riverfront Show Review
Heartland Happening Show
We got back to the Riverfront Stages just in time to catch Billy Ray Cyrus. He hasn't lost his touch with the women. This was the most crowded we've ever seen the Riverfront Stages get. The crowd went wild for Billy Ray! Welcome back Billy Ray. You've been gone from Nashville way too long.

Remember Eric Heatherly? He was next singing his hits "Flowers on the "Wall" and "Wrong 5 o'clock". He did a good song called "Judging Beauty" also.
Then another newcomer we've never heard of before was next. Wayne Warner started his set with Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" which was acceptable. Johnny Cash is such a standard that it is very hard to do one of his songs justice. He also did "Turbo Twang" and "10,000 Tears Ago".

We've heard a lot of talk about

Jill King, but this is the first time we've seen her perform and we liked her. She is more into older type country which struck a good chord to us. She did a wonderful job singing "One Mississippi" and also enjoyed "98.6 Degrees".

Nothing can be written about Jeffrey Steele that hasn't been said before. Jeffrey gives a high-energy wonderful performance as usual. We were happy to hear him do the Van Zant number "Help Someone If You Can" which he wrote. Jeffrey sings all songs that he wrote. He is the most prolific and successful songwriter in country music today. He also did "These Days", "Free Wheeling", and "Gone". A Jeffrey Steele concert is always entertaining. When he comes to a city near you, go see him as he's always pure entertainment at it's best.

I felt sorry for Brittany Wells who had to take the stage after Jeffrey Steele. He works the crowd up so much that it's had to pay attention to anyone who has the nerve to come on after him. I did enjoy her performance, but would like to seen her in her own right and not following Jeffrey Steele before saying anything about her.
Emerson Drive closed the show. This is a band that does not get the recognition they deserve. They did their biggest hit, "Fall In Me" and the crowd really appreciated their performance. They give a wonderful stage show.
Wow, another great day of wonderful music...and two more days yet to go! Nashville is a Great and so is the CMAfest!
