Thursday's Greased Lightning Riverfront Show Review
Nashville Spotlight
The Bellamy Brothers are celebrating 30 years of music this year. They did all their old favorites which included "If You
said You had a Beautiful Body" and "Redneck Girl"
Shelly Fairchild is definitely someone to be reckoned with. The highlight of her show was singing the song she wrote for her mom "Tiny Town" which talks about growing up in a small town
and missing it when leaving to pursue your dream.
Cowboy Crush is a female band very reminiscent of the 80's group, Wild Rose. They are excellent and did a couple fiddle
numbers including Charlie Daniel's "Drinking my Baby Goodbye". They did their new single "Nobody Dies of a Broken Heart"
We were then blessed with the talents of Steve Holy. He included a favorite song of his "Good Morning Beautiful"
If you have never been to a Neal McCoy show, you don't know what you're missing. He again proved why he received entertainer
of the year for so many years from so many different organizations. No one in country music gives a performance like Neal
Does. Him and the band came out wearing black t-shirts that said "903 MUSIC". Neal had problems with the label he was on so
he started his own record label. Good for you Neal. American music lovers love you and want you back. Attention radio
personalities and staff...We want Neal back on the radio. Neal
gives a high energy show that makes one tired watching him
He started with "Celebrate" and included "Wink", "The City put the Country Back In Me" and ended
with "I'm Your Biggest Fan" which is a song thanking the fans for allowing him to do what he loves for a living.
90 degree heat and then the cold rain couldn't keep us or a ton of other CMAfest guests from enduring the fickle Nashville weather, we left the Riverfront Stages thoroughly entertained ,taking with us a lot great memories, and plenty of smiles on our faces as we anticipated the next day's adventures at the CMAfest.
