CMAfest Coliseum Show Review - Friday Night

Alan Jackson & SHeDAISY

From M.Guy

Indeed, it is always an honor and an extreme pleasure to have the opportunity to see Alan Jackson perform live. He was the first performer of the evening to bring the crowd to their feet and keep them there throughout his 8-song set.
We applaud Mr. Jackson for taking the time & making the effort to come off the road to be there for the fans and to let them know they are that important to him.
This musical genius has sold over 43 million albums, had 31 #1 hits, including 21 that he wrote himself and has earned 96 major industry awards, all just over the past 15 years.
Mr. Jackson never disappoints his fans at his concerts. As he took the stage, calm & so humble, he started out with "Gone Country". The long, tall, cool one then proceeded to perform a string of hits that put a smile on the fans' faces and kept them on their feet during his entire performance. Alan then perfomed "Do What I Do" and he explained, it was a tribute to his fans for allowing him to do what he loves to do and how much he appreciates his fans' continuous support. The fans went wild & Jackson then stated, "Thank you so much. You make me proud.
Although I didn't write this song, when I first heard it, I immediately connected with it." He then went on to say, 'It was about this same time about 15 years ago when I had my first #1 hit with "Here in the Real World." I have had it harder than some, but not as hard as others trying to get started in this business."
With that said, he continued with a string of hits including: "Remember When", "Little Bitty", "Who's Cheatin' Who", "Chattahoochie", "Five O'Clock Somewhere" and then closing with "Where I Come From". Thank you, Mr. Jackson for always trying so hard to please your fans & for always putting on a great show!

SHeDAISY followed Alan Jackson and started out their set with "Passenger Seat" Followed by the one that got it all started for them "Little Goodbyes". They then went into "Don't Worry 'Bout a Thing" towards the end of the set.
They seemed to get a stir from the crowd when they talked about their fundraising project they started for the troops & the troops' families. SHeDAISY has designed one of the rubber bracelets and have been selling them with all proceeds going to help the families of our troops. So far, these ladies have had great success with this project, already raising $60,000.
