Pigeon Forge, TN – Literally built into the side of a mountain with a spectacular view of Sevierville and Pigeon Forge, the cabins of the Preserve Resort, one of a number of properties represented by the property management company Big Cabins, sets the standard for luxury Smoky Mountain vacations.

Set in the Wears Valley region of Pigeon Forge, approximately 10 miles from town, the resort features beautiful new cabins that are sure to impress. It is the perfect place for a family vacation, reunion, or corporate retreat.Cabin occupants are afforded an incredible view at an elevation of 2100 feet. Most of the Preserve cabins are three stories and are anchored into the severely sloping mountain by steel and mammoth wooden timbers.

At the Preserve no expense is spared. My family and I stayed at the Havens at Hedgewood cabin. This particular style of cabin has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms spread out over 3 levels and can comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests. The exquisite decor of the cabin, complete with oak floors and pine walls made us feel like we had just walked into an enchanted forest.

Every level has a deck with rocking chairs so you can sit, relax, and take in the view of the Great Smoky Mountains. The lower level included a bedroom, bathroom, washing machine & dryer, and a game room. The game room had a pool table, air hockey, and foosball game. This room elicited screams of delight from my family when they saw it! The second level was the main or walk-in level.

It included a fully stocked kitchen – every cooking and baking utensil you could think of was available! There was also another bedroom, bathroom, dining room, and living room with a widescreen television. The top floor contained a loft style king bedroom and a beautiful master bathroom with a whirlpool tub and separate shower. There was also a hot tub outside on the upper level deck.

When you are renting a large cabin, potential problems with who controls the television or the thermostat is not normally something you would consider in advance. There are so many things to do that you probably won’t be staying inside very often, but there is virtually a television in every room so if you choose to stay inside there won’t be any fighting over the remote control! The same holds true for temperature controls. Each floor has its own thermostat so that if some like it hot and others like it cold, everyone will be comfortable.

Rates are seasonal and range anywhere from $196 to just over $400 per night for a 3 bedroom cabin. Other varieties of cabins are available at varying prices. Big Cabins provides luxury cabin rentals of virtually any size, accommodating groups of 2 to 58 in a single cabin.

About Pigeon Forge
The Smoky Mountain tourist town of Pigeon Forge is approximately 10 miles from the Preserve Resort. You can find virtually any type of restaurant as well as grocery stores and any kind of tourist attraction you could dream of! Highlights include Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede and some of the many outfitters that offer horseback riding, which was a phenomenal experience in the mountains. The most popular nearby tourist attraction is, of course, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park which is less than a 20 minute drive from the resort. Cades Cove, a famous portion of the National Park, is only 15 miles from the Preserve Resort.
