Today is another hot humid day without a drop of moisture. I was hoping the weather from Thursday would have lasted the whole weekend. I have to start by saying the Anthem was sung by Joni Harms today and she blew away the audience. Her voice was so clear crisp and accurate, I thoroughly enjoyed her performance.
Jon Anthony from XM radio was host for the Country Jamboree Show. Andy Griggs was the first to take the stage. He is still just as enjoyable as he ever was. Katrina Elam powered the stages with her commanding voice. Deryl Dodd sang his heart out with his down home country music. Deryl almost died a few years ago and I am so happy to have him back on stage singing.

Talk about excitement and taking control of the stage; Ty Herndon did all that and more. This superstar is definitely making his mark on the music scene again. He sang all his hits including my favorite "What Maters Most", and got a standing ovation at the end of the set. Welcome back Ty, you were very much missed as your audience showed you. Rodney Atkins sang his new release and also did the beautiful "Honesty". Pam Tillis still showed she was the queen and not just of denial...Pam still has what it takes to entertain her fans.

It was now time to hand the baton of emcee to Charlie Monk of Sirius Satellite Radio who did an excellent job. Charlie, Nashville misses you. He opened his show with Mel Tillis who included the hits "Send Me Down To Tucson" and "Coca Cola Cowboy". He did a duet with Pam that brought smiles to everyone's face. Mel, Nashville still loves you as much as we ever did. You were a very welcome addition to the shows.

Jessi Alexander flitted her way unto stage and did very well. Jon Randall sang the song he co-wrote with Bill Anderson "Whisky Lullaby" and you could have heard a pin drop the crowd was so quite for his performance. Erika Jo sang "I Break Things' and Brian McComas is 99.9% sure. John Corbett is really a singer in his own right and I enjoyed his performance. You may remember him portraying Chris the DJ in "Northern Exposure". There is definitely room for John in country music.

The beautiful and handsome stars of the ABC daytime soap operas hosted the Riverside Country Show. I have never seen Rio Grand perform before and they really caught my ear and eyes. I would love to see a full show by them. David Lee Murphy was a real pleaser with his "Dust on the Bottle", "Loco" and "Party Crowd". It's been too long since David was on mainstream radio.

Trent Willmon told us all he is a "Beerman" and sang of an on again/ off again romance in "ON Again Tonight" I absolutely love this song and it is now in the top 15 on the charts. Rebecca Lynn is still beautiful honored us with "Forgive". I have never heard of Bobby Marquez before, but I am now a strong fan. He did two-step numbers along with Texas Swing. His voice is loud, clear and strong. Let me be one of the first to welcome Bobby to Nashville. I love your music. Linda Davis is a gracious, beautiful lady. She did her biggest hits and also did her duet "Does He Love You" that she recorded with Reba.

Nashville City Limits Show was next with Scott Lindy of Sirius Satellite Radio taking the wheel of this ride. T. Graham Brown got the crowd hotter than the weather with his wonderful music. Keni Thomas has a lot of talent that I will be keeping my eye on.
What can I say about Bobby Pinson that I haven't already said? I have been a fan of Bobby's for years and I was not disappointed today. He did his big hit "Don't Ask Me How I know". Bobby is also a new daddy. Congratulations Bobby and Lucy. The Pirates of the Mississippi are back. Remember their biggest hit "Feed Jake"? Billy Gilman is all grown up and blessed us with "One Voice". Pinmonkey closed this segment with their excellent harmonies.

Again there was no rain today and a bit too much sun and heat- normal CMAfest weather but again we had had a full day of wonderful music and left longing for more.
