From the third week of November until the week after Christmas, Gaylord Opryland Hotel is host to many holiday events including the viewing their spectacular holiday lights, Ice, Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Treasures for the Holidays, Brightest Star Fountain Show, Hall of Trees, to taking a General Jackson Holiday Cruise. It is four weeks of non-stop activities.

With activities planned for the entire family, the fourth annual Making Merry in Berry Hill is prepared for a big turn-out next Saturday, November 9th, 9am-5pm. "Bransford Avenue is closed for the street festival to make way for the vendors and fun -- including the 'Kid's Zone' which will feature cookie decorating, a cupcake walk, gumdrop toss, balloons and bouncy castles," said a Berry Hill spokesman. The event has many area sponsors, including the House of Blues, Cafe Monells, Curious Heart, GasLamp Antiques, Pinnacle and Regions Banks. The festival will begin at City Hall with a parade at 9 a.m. led by Santa himself, who will also be on hand for photos. Throughout the event, musical entertainment will be performing on the festival stage, adding to the creative ambiance of the day.
