You and your family are invited to the annual Hillsboro Village Christmas In The Village event on Thursday December 5th, from 5 pm until 8 pm. Santa will arrive at 6 pm sharp to sit for photos at Fido (1812 21st Ave So). Photos will be FREE in exchange for a new, unwrapped toy to donate to TOYS FOR TOTS. Merchants will be offering holiday drink specials and free food samples including hot chocolate, sweet bakery treats, Yule logs and cookies. Bell ringers, carolers and bands will be performing. Live, funky Christmas music will be performed at several locations, including the stage on the corner of Belcourt and 21st avenues. Sign up for a Village-wide raffle at all participating merchant locations. A lucky winner will receive a huge assortment of gifts from many of our shops and restaurants. Artisans will have displays in many shops and Santa's helpers will show you how to make mistletoe ornaments. NiH has culled through all the holiday music they have performed over the last nine years and has selected the most requested songs to be performed at this amazing show.

The 61sth annual Nashville Christmas Parade will fill the Nashville night with holiday sights and sounds on Friday, December 6th. The parade normally starts at LP Field crossing the Woodland Street Bridge, west down 2nd Avenue and marching down Broadway.

The Candlelight Tour illuminates the rich heritage of Franklin by opening historic homes, churches, and businesses for two evenings. Sites are decorated for the Christmas holiday, combining the beauty of some of Franklin’s most beautiful homes with the warmth of the season. Guests are greeted with visions and stories of the past as they progress through the tour. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Participating sites will be announced in the fall.

The annual Oaklands Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The tour will feature beautiful and historic private homes as well as the graceful Oaklands Mansion. Set in the historic district of Murfreesboro, stops along the delightful tour will be festively adorned historical homes and churches, dressed in holly and evergreens. Additionally, living history demonstrations will be presented on the lawn of the mansion. Admission is charged.
