December 3rd
The St. Cloud Hotel reopens for business after being used as a Union Hospital during the War between the states on December 3rd of 1872.

December 4th
-Famous Actress, Lillian Russell performs at the Vendome Theatre.
-Game Show host, Wink Martindale was born in Jackson, Tennessee on December 4th,1934.

December 5th
George Morgan, Don Gibson, Billy Grammer, Johnnie Wright, Kitty Wells, The Jordanaires, Faron Young, Ferlin Husky, Justin Tubb, Stonewall Jackson & Ray Price are dismissed from the Grand Ole Opry on December 5th, 1956.

December 6th
The Vienna Orchestra holds a concert at the Union Tabernacle on December 6th, 1900.

December 7th
On December 7th , 1988 Roy Orbison died in Hendersonville only 3 days after his final concert in Akron Ohio.

December 8th
-Gregg Allman, of the Allman Brothers Band was born December 8th, 1947.
-Marty Robbins died in Nashville on December 8th, 1982.
-Former Nashville Mayor, Richard Boone Cheatham was born in Springfield December 8, 1824.

December 9th
John B. Lindsley, a prominent Nashville physician dies on December 9th, 1897.
