September 10
-In the early morning hours of September 10, 1957 a wing of the Hattie Cotton School in East Nashville is demolished by blast of dynamite, in response to school desegregation.
-Former Governor William Blount was born on April 18, 1767 , died near Nashville on September 10, 1835 and is currently intered at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville.

September 11th
The College Hill Foundry burned down on September 11th, 1880.

September 12th
-George Jones is born on September 12th , 1931.
-The Man in Black, Johnny Cash dies in Nashville on September 12, 2003.

September 13th
President Ronald Reagan attends the Grand Ole Opry House in a Roy Acuff Birthday Salute on September 13, 1984.

September 14th
The First Presbyterian Church was destroyed by fire for a second time on the 14th of September, 1848.

September 15th
The King of Country Music, Roy Acuff was born on September 15, 1903.

September 16th
Former Tennessee Governor, Cannon Newton, died in Nashville on September 16, 1841.
