June 4th
President Roosevelt attends Nashville politician Joseph Burns funeral at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville.

June 5th
Conway Twitty, died on June 5, 1993, had more #1 country records, during his lifetime than any artist in history.

June 6th
President Monroe arrived in Nashville on the 6th of June in 1819, and was the guest of General Jackson.

June 7th
American multimedia artist, Red Grooms (Charles Rogers Grooms) was born in Nashville Tennessee on June 7, 1937 and is an best known for his colorful pop-art constructions depicting frenetic scenes of modern urban life. He is also known for his prolific printmaking.

June 8th
The people of Tennessee vote to succeed from Union on June 8th, 1861.

June 9th
James C. Napier was born of free parents on June 9, 1845 and was one of the most prominent Negro citizens in Middle Tennessee. Napier was an attorney and banker, he served as a member of the Nashville School Board.

June 10th
Gaylord Entertainment purchases Acuff-Rose Publications, the legendary music publishing house founded by Roy Acuff and Fred Rose on June 10th, 1985.
