Singer-songwriter Warner Mack was born in Nashville on April 2nd, 1946.

April 3rd
Country Music Hall of Famer, Don Gibson was born on April 3rd, 1928, he passed away in Nashville on November 17th, 2003.

April 4th
Red Sovine died of a heart attack while driving in Nashville on April 4th, 1980. He was most famous for his hits Phantom 309 and the tearjerker song, Teddy Bear.

April 5th
Songwriter, Publisher, Artist, Cowboy Jack Clement is born April 5th, 1931.

April 6th
Tammy Wynette died at her home in Nashville on April 6th, 1998.

April 7th
An F3 tornado hit the Goodlettsville Area in 2006. The Metro Baptist Church and Volunteer State College suffered substantial damages along with the destruction of 25 homes.

April 8th
- In 2009, one of Nashville's most beloved local news anchors Dan Miller passed away after suffering a heart attack.
-The Frist Center for the Visual Arts opens in Nashville's former and historic post office on April 8th, 2001.
-Zephaniah Alexander Looby, a lawyer active in the American Civil Rights Movement, was born on April 8th, 1899.
