Australian Festival is held annually the second weekend of September in Elmington Park.This is the largest Australian festival in North America, offering women's rugby, cricket and football matches, a variety of Australian goods and food, live music,and even a small petting area with native Australian animals. Admission is Free to the Festival.
Art After Hours
Art After Hours, Nashville's first monthly, citywide art crawl offers a chance for art lovers to enjoy art after work (from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.) at some of Nashville's best art galleries. This fun fun event takes place on the first Thursday of each month, and "It's Free!"
African American Street Festival
The Annual African American Street festival is generally held the 3rd week of September on the campus of Tennessee State University. Sponsored by the African American Cultural Alliance (AACA), this phenomenal festival has grown now attracts more than 100,000 people interested in African and African American culture.
Wine on the River
Wine on the River, normally held the last week of September, was the First Public Event on the renovated Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge. There is always hundreds of wines available for tasting, along with live music and several area restaurants are on-site for food purchases.
Daniel Smith Days
Daniel Smith Days is held the 4th weekend of September at Historic Rock Castle located in Hendersonville. This event and fund-raiser includes a 1779-1820 Camp and reenactment as well as Colonial Traders, demonstrations, period music, food, and much more at the Old Smith Family Plantation.
Full Moon Pickin' Parties
Some of Middle Tennessee's finest bluegrass musicians perform under the light of a full moon - really! True to the Bluegrass form they will also have numerous jam sessions taking place at any given time in addition to performances on the main stage. Full Moon Pickin' Parties normally run annually from May through October.
Native American Pow Wow
This annual event is held in Mt. Juliet at the Mt. Juliet Horse Arena on the 4th weekend of September. The Pow Wow features an array of Native Americans from across the country, dancing, storytelling. There is plenty to see and do with food, arts & crafts booths on-site.
Spring Hill Country Ham Festival
The Spring Hill Country Ham Festival is normally held anytime between mid-September to the first part of October and offers plenty of good family fun including live entertainment, handmade arts and crafts, ham curing, pig trivia, and hog calling contests, crafts demonstrations, farm animals, games, and, of course, country ham.TACA Fall Crafts Fair
This is a popular three-day festival. It is free to the public and includes close to 200 exhibitors and features guest artists who demonstrate as well as sell their work. Live music and a food are also apart of this annual event held the 4th Weekend of September, in Centennial Park.
Old Timers' Day
This annual festival kicks off every year with the famed Country Ham Breakfast, hosted by the La Vergne Rescue Squad. Old Timers' Day is normally held the 3rd Saturday in September, at the Veteran's Memorial Park in LaVergne. It also features a Parade, Music, Fireworks, along with a host of other activities for the entire family.
