American Artisan Festival

American Artisan Festival held in Centennial Park in mid June. Some 160 artists from around the country have been carefully selected to represent their areas of expertise which include blown, stained, and etched glass; furniture, instruments, and clocks; wall hangings, weavings, and baskets; jewelry; decorative clay pieces, and quilts. Music and a variety of foods will be available in the park.

Every year, Ashland City hosts their annual Summerfest. Along with carnival rides, free concerts, food, games, arts, and crafts, they also normally have a fireworks display as well. Summerfest is usually held in the last days of June and is open for five days.

Art After Hours

Art After Hours, Nashville's first monthly citywide art crawl offers a chance for art lovers to enjoy art after work at some of Nashville's best art galleries. This fun fun event takes place on the first Thursday of each month, and "It's Free!"

Every summer the importance of Bluegrass Music and Genre is highlighted in the Bluegrass at the Ryman series. Series usually runs each week for about 6 weeks in the months of June and July.

Bob Mueller, anchor for News Channel 2, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society have been teaming up every June to bring Nashville one of the premiere golf tournaments in the region.

Bonnaroo Music Festival

The Bonnaroo Music Festival, held every June, debuted in 2002 on a 600 acre farm in rural Manchester, Tennessee, located 60 miles south of Nashville. This event features a diverse, Woodstock hippie-oriented atmosphere, for three days of never-ending music. Rolling Stone Magazine called Bonnaroo "The American rock festival to end all festivals."

Brain Matters

Brain Matters is an interactive exhibit that has in depth information about the brain, how it works and information about diseases and disorders. This exhibit consists of three stations that allow you to spend as much time as you like delving into the mystery of the human brain. Located in 100 Oaks Mall (upstairs), this free Vanderbilt exhibit is open during regular mall hours.

Buchanan Log House Lecture Series

The Buchanan Log House host monthly lectures on the 3rd Sunday of each month. These historical lectures feature a different speaker each month and highlight the people and times that define the local Donelson-Hermitage area. Free and open the public.
