Jan Duke

Jan is a longtime resident of Nashville and as one of the "First Families of Tennessee", has a Tennessee Lineage that dates back to the 18th century.

Jan has been a freelance writer for nearly a decade and has written over one thousand articles about the city of Nashville and/or the state of Tennessee. She is the author of one book and currently working on her second.

Her work, articles, and photographs have appeared and/or been featured in various local, national and international media outlets that have included, but not limited to: La Campana del Sur (Nashville's Spanish Newspaper), Ireland's Own magazine (Ireland), University in Regensburg (Germany), Nashville Public Television (PBS Channel 8), Talk of the Town (CBS channel 5) and the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum.

Exploring Music City U.S.A and finding the many unique and exciting things that the Middle Tennessee Area has to offer is one of my favorite things to do. My hope is to endear Nashville visitors and residents alike to let me humbly show and guide them through every aspect of what this great city has to offer, whether you are visiting for a day or a lifetime.
