                   Ratios and Probabilities

Two country boys; George and Roy, decide that they are going to get a college education. As they drive down to the local university, Roy tells George, to let him do all the talking. As they are walking down the hall, they meet a college Professor. He asks them if he can help them. Roy tells him they want to get an education.

The Professor asks them what they wish to major in? Roy replies that they hadn't really given it much thought. The Professor tells Roy, that he needs to come into the classroom with him and that they can discuss it, and then he can relay it to George. Once in the classroom, the professor tells Roy, that he recommends that he take a class in English, one in History, one in Math and maybe an elective course in Ratios and Probabilities. Roy replies..."What's Ratios and Probabilities"? the Professor tells him that he can set him up an example.

The Professor asks Roy...."Do you own a Weedeater"? Roy replies.."well, yeah". The Professor says that because Roy owns a weedeater, he can safely assume that Roy also has a yard, and that because he has a yard, he can safely assume that Roy also has a house. Roy tells him that this is absolutely unbelievable and that he is correct. The Professor tells him, that because he has a house, he can safely assume that Roy is heterosexual. Roy tells him..." this is incredible, its like he psychic or something". The Professor tells him that because he has a house and is heterosexual, that he can safely assume that Roy is married. Roy says..."You are right again, I cant wait to take this class in Ratios and Probabilities". The Professor tells him that he looks forward to seeing him and his friend at the start of the next semester.

When Roy gets back out in the hallway, George asks him..."What did he say??, What did he Say??.. Roy replies..." he said that we need to take a class in English, one in History, one in Math and an elective course in Ratios and Probabilities". George  replies..."What's Ratios and Probabilities"? Roy says.."Let me set you up an example". Roy asks George..."Do you own a weedeater"? George replies "well... No" Roy looks at him with an inquisitive look and says..."Your queer aren't you"?
