In our Nashville Star Season Two Review of week Six, five of the six remaining contestants performed a southern rock classic of their choice in the sixth week. The contestant, who received the fewest number of votes after last week's show, will be sent home at the end of the show.

Matt Lindahl-They Call Me the Breeze(Lynyrd Skynyrd)

Matt took the stage with his, all too familiar washboard. He was sporting a new look, wearing an orange sherbet paisley shirt and a new sound too.

At the end of the performance, Matt smashed his washboard on the stage floor into hundreds of pieces. This performance was yet, another side of this ever-changing artist. Matt is a true entertainer, a breath of fresh air, and what Country Music needs more of. We feel that not only will Nashville welcome him with open arms, but that he will also one day, become a prestigious member the Grand Ole Opry.

The Judge's Views:
  • Billy-You brought me from a doubter into a believer.
  • Warren Bros.-Just when I think you couldn't take it. Up a notch-You wear a paisley shirt and smash the washboard.
  • Tracy-No word she just held up a lighter.

Jennifer Hicks-The South's Going to do it Again(Charlie Daniels Band)

After a minute or two into Jennifer's performance, Nancy O'Dell came out and stopped her. There were major audio problems, so Jennifer was allowed to start again. You could see the tears welling up in Jennifer's eyes throughout the rest of her performance, but she kept a smile on her face and kept singing. Her composure was amazing and we hope to see her perform again next week.

The Judge's Views:
  • Billy-I want to hear you to sing it the third time, because I loved it.
  • Warren Bros.-You've got my vote Jennifer, I don't know if Southern Rock is your thing, but I still believe you belong on the show.
  • Tracy- You've kicked it up a notch from last week, but I want to see more.
