Willie Nelson Hits Week 5:
This week six of the eight remaining Nashville Star contestants are performing some of Willie Nelson's best-loved songs in front this week's guest Willie Nelson himself. The other two Nashville Star contestants, who received the fewest number of votes after last week's show, will be sent home at the end of the show.
Nashville Star Hot spot:
This week's Nashville Star Hot Spot was the Nashville Star contestants' visit to the Bristol Motor Speedway. At the race, the contestants had their first experience of fan recognition, and they signed autographs and handed out merchandise, and even met NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson. Later in the race they would sing "America the Beautiful" as paratroopers with an American flag made a picture-perfect landing on the track.
