I think I was looking for Matt to do something serious, but he sang his song titled "Jump Off The Bridge", which to me is an amazing song. Sometimes songs are about fun! That's my opinion. But, again, when I look at Matt he has the best of a smile, personality and his eyes just sparkle! He makes me enjoy myself. That is entertainment to me. The song makes me feel good and isn't that what music is all about? So Billy needs to lighten up. Here are what the judges remarks were:
- Warren Bros.: Matt, you are hilarious. Everybody in this country needs to lighten up a little bit. I've talked to girls this week who have had erotic dreams about you. I swear. I'm not kidding', and after you performance, I can see why. You're hilarious. I love it.
- Tracy:Listen, first of all Matt, you and all the contestants should really feel the Rodney Crowell mojo on that stage. Because he's one of the best songwriters around. But, I got to tell ya; you've got your own mojo going. I don't know what the heck to do with you, but there's something there buddy. She's smiling. Adding remarks after Billy ' There's life beyond radio.
- Billy: That's great, and I'll tell you Matt, she can sign you, but I'm telling you right now. We've talked before, I know you can sing. You've got charisma. That song would never get played on the radio.
Second performer - Jennifer Hicks.
I noticed Jennifer with a new hairstyle, which is very becoming on her. She sang "Lost In The Magic Of You". I felt Jennifer proved something more to me tonight on this song as it came from her heart, it fit her soft voice, and there was something special you could see in her eyes as she played the guitar. Here are what the judges remarks were:
- Tracy: You know, what I like about you? You're more of a song stylist, rather than a big range singer, and you need to make sure you find songs that fit you, and you did, with that one.
- Billy: First off he calls her by the wrong name. I felt from the first time I saw you several weeks ago, you just have it. You got the style; you got the look, something in your eyes when your singing blows me away and, I think you could be huge.
- Warren Bros: You redeemed yourself from last week completely. I had the feeling you were going to be one of those artists that was better off doing their original songs. That was fabulous. I loved it.
