Maybe the locals just don't get stirred up at the aspects of another new country hopeful arriving on the local music scene. Or maybe Nashvillian's realize that getting a recording contract isn't a guaranteed ride to Country music fame and stardom.
What's the Scoop?
- The hostess of Nashville Star will be the lovely, Access Hollywood anchor, Nancy O'Dell.
- There are 12 final contestants, selected from a field of over 8000 participants.
- They will live together in a Nashville house, recently nicknamed Chez Twang, with cameras recording their every moment for a nine-week period.
- These twelve contestants are competing for a recording contract. The grand prizewinner will receive a recording contract from non other than Sony Music Nashville.
- Clint Black, who is acting as the show's creative consultant-mentor, will also produce the contestants CD, which will be released within six weeks of the show's end.
Who are the Judge's?
The primary judge's have been chosen; additional unnamed judges will be appearing on a rotating basis. The chosen judges are clearly a formidable group and have an extensive amount of knowledge between them.
