Valentine's Day Hints

No Kids Allowed: An Evening Getaway in Nashville

From Jan Duke, for About.com

We have designed our No Kids Allowed Evening Getaway for those of you with little children, when a few hours of romance is always appreciated and can rejuvenate you and your valentine any day of the year, but especially Valentines Day.

We use our one stop, four-hour getaway several times a year, not only for Valentines Day.

The evening starts off by dropping the kids off, with a fully stocked diaper bag, snacks, juice and all to a drop-off childcare called The Children's Playroom. All of the caretakers here are CPR certified, the cost is minimal, dinner is offered upon request, and best of all- the kids love the place. Remember reservations are required for children under one year old.

Located nearby, in Lions Head Village, are several good choices for dining including the Benkay Japanese Restaurant, which offers traditional private Japanese dining rooms and Caesar's Ristorante Italiano, a quaint little Italian restaurant nestled in a corner of the village.

For an after dinner drink and just a few more minutes of relaxation, you can walk next door to the wonderful atmosphere of Dalt's Bar and Grill, if you are planning repeat visits, in the future, make sure to ask about their VIP special.

We hope you have enjoyed our Valentine Getaway choices, most of the businesses we have cited have websites and their links can be found within this site.

Remember to start your plans early this year, Nashville will be filled with lovebirds romancing the night away.
