Treats, not Troops, needed in Iraq Nashville About.com Archives
While reading the local military newspaper, I stumbled onto an article stating, Treats, not Troops, needed in Iraq. This article detailed what some soldiers, deployed to Iraq are saying. If you would like to show your support to our soldiers, Treats for Troops is a simple way for friends and family to send packages whenever they want to. It’s safe and easy for anyone to Foster-A-Soldier.
Also, on the soldiers list were reading materials, so if you have a few extra books or magazines laying around, call your nearest military installation and see if they can get these reading materials to their troops. Many of the bases already have programs in place.
These programs are a great way for all to show their support. Mail Day in the military has always been a highlight in a soldier’s day.
