Follow me on:

The 60th annual Nashville Christmas Parade is set to kick-off in Downtown Nashville on Friday, December 7th, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.

The Nashville Parade officially starts the holiday season with the lighting of the Christmas tree at Public Square Plaza at 6:30 p.m. by Mayor Karl Dean, Piedmont Natural Gas executives and the Grand Marshal.

A fireworks display will immediately follow the tree lighting ceremony and the parade will follow at 7 p.m..

The parade route will begin on Woodland Street Bridge at Public Square and travel down 2nd Avenue and up Broadway to 9th Avenue.

Need to find a way to get there or a place to park?
There are a number of great parking and commute options for parade goers. Some local options include - Parking in a downtown lot and taking the Music City Star into Downtown Nashville.
