The 60th annual Nashville Christmas Parade is set to kick-off in Downtown Nashville on Friday, December 7th, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. The Nashville Parade officially starts the holiday season with the lighting of the Christmas tree at Public Square Plaza at 6:30 p.m. by Mayor Karl Dean, Piedmont Natural Gas executives and the Grand Marshal.
A fireworks display will immediately follow the tree lighting ceremony and the parade will follow at 7 p.m..
The parade route will begin on Woodland Street Bridge at Public Square and travel down 2nd Avenue and up Broadway to 9th Avenue.
