King of Country, George Strait made a surprise and rare appearance in Nashville today at the Country Music Hall of Fame.After brief introductions and video highlighting King George's long and very impressive career by his peers, Strait took the stage and announced that he would stop touring in two years and by 2014.
You could hear a huge sigh of relief exhaled from every George Strait fan from the furthest reaches of the Country Music as earlier rumors were running rampant that he might, if fact, be announcing his retirement.
