A Special reminder about this month's free activities at the Frist Center for the Visual Art
Art Lovers Sale: The Tag Art Gallery is also having a BIG Sale this week and is offering up to 75% off on original oil paintings, overstock frames and many other great discounts. The sale runs through 7/1 and they are offering extended hours Mon-Wed 10 am - 8 pm.
- Free admission for visitors 18 and younger - always
- Free admission Mondays with food donation to Second Harvest
- College Students with ID free Thur. and Fri. evenings 5-9
- Free Music in the Grand Lobby Thur. and Fri. evenings 6-8 (except Frist Fridays)
- Free Architecture Tours first Friday of each month 6:30 p.m.
- Seeing Ourselves exhibition in the Conte Community Arts Gallery
- Lectures, films, Artist's Forum, Art Makes Place activities
- Art After Hours - Nashville's citywide art event offers a chance for art lovers to enjoy art after work (from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.) at some of Nashville's best art galleries. This fun fun event takes place on the first Thursday of each month, and "It's Free!" -this month's event has been extended by 1 hour- till 8pm.
- First Saturday Art Crawl - On the first Saturday of the month, multiple downtown galleries open their doors to the public and It's Free as well. Note that this month the FS crawl is being held on July 11th.

debuts northwestern painters Jim Phalen, Patrick LoCicero, and Valerie Stuart. Celebrating the holiday, The Heavenly Dog will be selling hot dogs at an outside hotdog cart and Cumberland will provide drinks inside
*Finer Things Gallery (near Fairgrounds)
will feature unique imaginative ceramic figures by innovative artist Lisa Farris
*Gallery One (Belle Meade Galleria)
presents “Summer Soup” introducing new gallery artists and featuring concrete and steel sculptures of Olympia, Washington artist Mike Moran, as well as new mixed media abstract works by gallery favorite Suzy Scarborough
*LeQuire Gallery (near Sylvan Park)
previews Alan LeQuire’s newest colossal sculpture Dream Forest, and cuts the red ribbon on their first gallery expansion since the art gallery’s opening
*Local Color (on Broadway)
will premiere a “Magical Menagerie” of new whimsical works by Ron York
*Midtown Gallery (on Broadway)
will display eclectic artist Barbara Coon’s “Keys To The City,” new representations of Gibson and Fender guitars
*The Arts Company (downtown Nashville)
will present “The Art of Flags,” featuring original artist flags by Brother Mel, Jorge Arrieta, Bob McGill, Norris Hall, and Myles Maillie, commissioned by the gallery for the festive holiday, with some artists attending the reception
*Zeitgeist (Hillsboro Village)
continues its discussion series Oblique Strategies with Tennessee Repertory Theatre’s Producing Artistic Director Rene Copeland. In addition, the gallery will be exhibiting new works by painter Jimmy Abegg, sculptor Buddy Jackson, and photographer Frank Ockenfelds.
