Nashville Star Alumni in Music City for CMAfest

Monday June 8, 2009
Nashville Star Alumni and Finalists performing around town include appearances from Miranda Lambert later this week, as well as a rare Nashville performance from Canadian, George Canyon tonight at The Stage.
Although if you're a BIG Nashville Star Junkie there are two benefits that you won't want to miss because both events are usually filled to the brim with Nashville Star alumni.

The first benefit of the week is former Nashville Star regional finalist, Mike Rodger's Annual Indy Outlaw Show being held Friday night (June 12th) in Printer's Alley at Ms. Kelli's. Confirmed to perform, so far, are Michael Peterson, Buddy Jewell and john Arthur martinez, but you can bet that you will see plenty more throughout the night.
This show is free but donations will be accepted and benefit the Middle Tennessee Golden Gloves.Show is scheduled from 6:00-9:00p.m. but if you've never been to one of Mike's shows I'll tell you that the fun normally will runs late into the night.

Coming next and late in CMAfest week is the Annual Stars for Hope Benefit being held at BB Kings on Monday, June 15, 2009. (review) This year’s benefit concert for the Lupus Foundation of America, Mid-South Chapter (LFAM) will bring together the top talent from Nashville Star that include performances by Chris Young, Ann Marie Boskovich , john Arthur Martinez, former Nashville Star Alum & American Idol finalists Brent Keith and Kristen McNamara. We've also heard through the grapevine that Nashville Star's very first winner, Buddy Jewell might even make an appearance too.
But that’s not all this great night has in store, because there will be plenty of good food and beverages available too. In addition, there is normally also a silent auction held that consists of various items from many of your favorite performing artists. The concert will begin at 7:00 pm. Tickets will be available for $20 General Admission with all of the ticket proceeds going directly to Lupus Foundation of America, Mid South Chapter.
