"Christmas Village" Returns to the Tennessee State Fairgrounds

Monday November 10, 2008
As the holidays fast approach, so do the challenges of finding the perfect gift for family and friends, and this decades old Nashville tradition, “Christmas Village,” is sure to help with any holiday gift giving woes.

Christmas Village, which began in 1961, is recognized as one of the best events of it's kind in the southeast and has raised millions for the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center, as well as an additional million or so for other philanthropic organizations too.
This annual event is set open to the public Friday, Nov. 14th – Sunday, Nov. 16th at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds. Visitors can expect over 250 merchants from across the country to be selling their holiday gift wares and more than 20,000 other enthusiastic shoppers to attend the three-day event, which features such items as Christmas decorations, toys for all ages, clothing for adults and children, jewelry, food, antiques, pottery, collectibles and gifts for the person who has everything.

Tickets are under $10.00, for additional information, please visit www.christmasvillage.org

I can highly recommend Christmas Village to anyone who has never been. It is so much fun and the booths are wonderful. I went last night(opening night)with a friend and we found so many things we could hardly carry them all…the Nashville Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club really did a fantastic job putting it together this year. Hope everyone will go out and support their outstanding efforts for your commuity.
