Tuesday November 13, 2007
If you feel like you just need a bit of culture as well as some relaxation to kick off Nashville's holiday season or just try to recover from Black Friday, the Nashville Chamber Orchestra is hosting it's annual Thanksgiving Celebration (review) at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center (photos).
This years theme is inspired by Stevie Wonder's 1976 release Songs In The Key Of Life, and will be featuring a blend of soul, jazz, latin and pop music along with some of Nashville's favorite musicians including; Jonell Moser, Odessa Settles, Scat Springs, Todd Suttles with the NCO Gospel Choir, as well as instrumental solos by Jeff Coffin, David Davidson, Alexander Fedoriouk, John Jorgenson, and Tracy Silverman.
Both evening performances, being held on November 23rd-24th, will begin at 8:00p.m. and seating on the main floor will be set up in a cabaret-style table seating with food and beverage service.
Also, don't forget to bring a canned food item, that will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank, to help the needy in Nashville during this holiday season.
