Nashville Offers Great Dog Lover Events in October

Nashville is going to the dogs with several great dog and pet lover events taking place in the coming weeks including: Cause for the Paws, Nashville's Dog Day Festival, and the Music City Mutt Strutt Dog Walk.

Cause for the Paws
World famous Printers Alley will become dog paradise with a "Best of Mutt" Show, a battle of the bands competition, a karaoke contest, a hole-in-one golf contest, pet adoptions, and a silent auction featuring items donated by country stars such as Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, George Strait, Gretchen Wilson, Diamond Rio, Kenny Rogers, and Charlie Daniels on October 7th when the Printers Alley Merchant's Association stages their second annual Cause for the Paws from 10 a m -5 pm on Saturday.
All proceeds will benefit Metro Animal Control who assists citizens with stray, neglected and aggressive animals; spaying and neutering at reduced costs , pet adoptions , lost pets , animal safety training for children , and more .
Public admission to Cause for the Paws is $10 per person. Entry fees for the competitions are $10 per dog for the "Best of Mutt" Show; $200 per act for the battle of the bands competition; and $25 per person for the "Karaoke Contest". Nashville's Dog Day Festival & Music City Mutt Strutt Dog Walk
Dog Day is a fun filled day with shopping, contests, demonstrations, food and activities. Is there a "Paw"blo Picasso at your house? Create your own one of a kind masterpiece at our paw prints painting tent. Or does your diva prefer accessories? Design your own custom bandana for your precious pooch. 12:00 Paws Parade Sponsored by Sharon Langford featuring the Nashville Humane Association's adoptable dogs .
The Mutt Strutt is a 2.5 mile walk through Centennial Park to raise money for the animals in their care. Hundreds of Nashville area animal lovers will walk, stroll, trot or jog- with or without their beloved canine companions - through the park.
On-site registration begins at 8 AM with the Strutt starting at 8:00 AM. Agility Fun Match Agility Fun Match will start with Novice at 10:00 AM. Contests Test your dog's retrieval skills, cheer for the best dog trick or see who is the cutest puppy at the canine social event of the year! To enter, participant must register at the contest registration tent at least 10 minutes prior to contest start time. They will also have a micro-chip clinic for pets from 11:00am-1:00pm for $20.00 per pet.

THere is alot of info thats wrong.

The Cause for Paws is on the 6th, and there is no charge for humans. ANd its time is from 10-7

THe dog day festival has an $5 per person admission charge. And the mutt strutt is a $20 per person admission.

The information is correct.. I guess you didn’t notice the date it was posted.. October 2006 not 2007 :)
