“19th Annual Nashville Greek Festival”

Beginning Friday, September 8, 2006 ~ Nashville ~ Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church hosts it’s 19th Annual Greek Festival through Sunday, September 10, 2006 on the 13-acre grounds located at 4905 Franklin Pike. The festival highlights the cuisine, music, and culture of Greece.

This year’s Festival Chairmen, Demetri Pagonis & Dean Solon comment, “We are very proud of our Byzantine style sanctuary and recently hand-painted Iconography and hope that all of Nashville will come tour the church, as well as, participate in the dance, food, pastries & gifts of the Greek culture.” Lots of fun activities for the Kids also! Don’t miss the Greek Grocery Store, “Yiayia’s Pantry”, in the Cultural Hall, for a wide variety of your favorite Greek specialty items! The proceeds from the festival support the church building fund. Rain or Shine, look for the “big fat” blue & white hilltop tent!

WHAT: 19th Annual Greek Festival at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Admission $2.00 ~ children under 12 are free Free Parking is available. Handicap parking available at the top of hill For more information about the festival, the public may contact the Church Office at (615) 333-1047.

WHERE: 4905 Franklin Pike at Tyne Boulevard (between Harding Road and Old Hickory Boulevard.

WHEN: Friday, September 8 10:00 am ~ 9 pm
Saturday, September 9 10:00 am ~ 9 pm
Sunday, September 10 11:00 am ~ 7 pm

WHY: Proceeds from the festival go to support the building fund, and to also enrich the culture of the community.

The Holy Trinity Parish was founded in 1919 and has provided continuous service to the Orthodox faithful since that time. The parish, while under jurisdiction of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North America, is the religious home for the Orthodox of many ethnic backgrounds & many converts of varied backgrounds.
