Roots: Corey Frizzell Art Exhibit

Monday June 19, 2006
zoosign2.jpg Corey is having his debut solo art exhibition, which will showcase his artistic talents while paying homage to his country music heritage. The show, held at The Renaissance Center , will run for 6 weeks from June 2nd to July 15th and is open to the public.

When you hear the name Frizzell you automatically think of music and Lefty Frizzell.

Let me introduce you to a member of the Frizzell family who is taking a different road than music alone. He is son of Allen Frizzell and nephew of David and Lefty Frizzell.

Corey Frizzell is a phenomenal artist. Corey’s passion for art started with cartoons and then moved into comic book art. Corey is now a portrait artist, all of his drawings are custom done from photographs with pencil. Corey has been commissioned by the public for portraits of children, families to couples and loved ones who have passed on. Corey has created portraits for such great country artists as George Jones, Mark Chesnutt, Craig Morgan, Keith Whitley, and Loretta Lynn to name a few. Read More

Following the opening on June 2nd there will be a reception (also open to the public). Come and check out Corey’s work and meet the artist himself.

Be sure to check out Corey’s website www.coreyfrizzell.com where you will find the contact information you need to commission Corey to do a portrait for you.

You can also check out Corey Frizzell and his works at Billy Yates "COUNTRIEST of the COUNTRY" Fan Club Party being held on June 7th at the Ernest Tubb Texas Troubadour Theater in Nashville.
