Jeff Fisher & Friends Annual Charity Softball Game

Comcast Cable proudly announces the 2006 Comcast “Jeff Fisher & Friends” Charity Softball Game Presented by AmSouth Bank. The charity softball game is set for Friday, June 23, 2006 at 7 PM at Greer Stadium. A portion of the proceeds, for this sixth annual event, will benefit Mercy Ministries and several other local charities.

Players confirmed to appear in the 2006 game include: Vince Young, Drew Bennett, Peter Sirmon, Chris Brown, David Thornton, Kevin Mawae, Ben Troupe, Ken Amato, Matt Mauck, Cody Spencer, Tyrone Calico, Robert Reynolds, Eugene Amano, Reynaldo Hill, Roydell Williams, Donnie Nickey, Cody Spencer, Jared Clauss, Marcus Randall, LenDale White, Jarrett Payton; Kevin Dyson, Chris Sanders, Brad Hopkins, Alan Lowry, Norm Chow, Steve Watterson, Nashville Predators, Tomas Vokoun,Vince Gill, and Chris Mason.. More to be added in the near future!

. The game has become a community favorite and much anticipated event, not only with Titans fans and families but also with the players themselves. Highlights from last year’s game, include Coach Fisher striking out Troy Fleming….twice; the homecoming of former players: Frank Wycheck, Neil O’Donnell, Eddie George and Kevin Dyson; Steve McNair displaying jaw-dropping shortstop skills; Drew Bennett winning the competitive “Hit It Out of the Park” contest; and of course, Fisher’s Blue team defeating Coach Alan Lowry’s Red team…again and the National anthem sung by country star, Jamie O’Neal.

“The game is an opportunity for us to give back to the community as well as offering the fans a chance to see the players and coaches in a casual and fun environment”, says Jeff Fisher, whose record is 6-0 going into this year’s event. He adds “the players also enjoy a night out competing with their teammates. The locker room ribbing goes on all year long.”

Bridgestone and Best One will host a dazzling fireworks display to cap off the evening. Gates will open at 5 PM and parking is free. The first 1,000 people to enter Greer Stadium will receive a seat cushion compliments of CSS. Early arrivals can watch pre-game activities such as an exhibition game played by the Little League Softball Clubs, the “Hit it Out of the Park” contest between the NFL Players as well as watching CSS’ Sports Nite live show on site a Greer Stadium.

Admission is $10.00 for General Admission and $15.00 for Reserved Seats. Tickets are on sale now through The Nashville Sounds ticket office or by calling at 615/242-4371. Show your KrogerPlus card, Military or Student ID, and get $1 off.
