Nashville Star Selects 43 Contestants for Regional Finals

The Nashville Star production team narrowed the field of contestants down to 43 hopefuls, who will compete at the Regional Finals for a shot at being country music's next sensation.
Regionals will take place in Houston on Jan. 3-4 and Nashville on Jan. 6-7. From there, the final cast will be chosen on Jan. 10 and prepped for the season premiere on Tuesday, March 14, 2006. (updated from March 7th)
