ALIAS Chamber Ensemble Season Finale

Alias, a Nashville-based chamber ensemble is dedicated to innovative performances based on diverse repertoire chosen largely by ensemble members. Alias performs new and rarely heard works, as well as traditional repertoire, reaching beyond the standard classical music experience and giving concertgoers the opportunity to discover a broader world of music.
Alias Chamber Ensemble completes its third season on Thursday, May 19, with a diverse concert program highlighted by the world premiere of Alias member, cellist, and composer Matt Walker’s Quartet for Clarinet, Cello, Bass, and Marimba.
In addition, the program will include Matteis’ Ayres for Violin and Continuo, Britten’s Suite for Harp, Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 14, Ginastera’s Pampeana No. 2 for Cello and Piano, and Brahms’ Sonatensatz for Violin and Piano. Guest Artists are Pianist Audrey Causilla, Violist Christopher Farrell, Bassist Joel Reist, and Pianist Melissa Rose.

Tickets for Alias: The Innovation Series are $10 in advance, $12 at the door, and $5 for students with ID. Proceeds benefit the Maternal Infant Health Outreach Worker (MIHOW) program. For tickets, call (800) 838-3006 or visit www.aliasmusic.org.
