Christmas Village Returns to the Tennessee State Fairgrounds - One Last Time
As the holidays fast approach, so do the challenges of finding the perfect gift for family and friends, and one of Nashville's decade old tradition is going to Christmas Village - which is sure to help with any holiday gift giving woes.
Christmas Village, which began in 1961, is recognized as one of the best events of it's kind in the southeast and has raised millions for the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center, as well as an additional million or so for other philanthropic organizations too.
This annual event is set open to the public Friday, Nov. 13th and run through Sunday, Nov. 15th at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds*.
Visitors can expect over 250 merchants from across the country to be selling their holiday gift wares and more than 20,000 other enthusiastic shoppers to attend the three-day event, which features such items as Christmas decorations, toys for all ages, clothing for adults and children, jewelry, food, antiques, pottery, collectibles and gifts for the person who has everything.
Tickets are under $10.00, for additional information, please visit www.christmasvillage.org
* Sadly, the Historic Tennessee State Fairgrounds is scheduled to close on June 30th, 2010.

Nashville's Ties to the Mighty Saber-Tooth Tiger
Was Nashville the last dying ground of the last living Smilodon? While that may be just a bit presumptous for most locals to fully accept, the Mighty Saber-Tooth Tiger does have a History in Nashville as well as some serious ties to the Nashville Predators NHL Hockey Team.Photo Credit Bruce Bennett/Getty Images

Middle Tennessee Tornado Activity-In November?
Locally, almost two-thirds of the Middle Tennessee Tornado Activity normally occurs in the spring months of March, April, and May. Surprisingly, November takes fourth place and while Middle Tennessee Tornado Activity in November really pales in comparison, it still needs to be watched closely.Remember that Tornadoes are unpredictable and can happen any time of year!
